Eating Vegan in Barcelona: Roots & Rolls

I was so impressed with the number of vegan places Barcelona has to offer. Not only did we find places just walking in the street, but we were also recommended some by local people! We were told about this plant-based Japanese restaurant called Roots & Rolls which had just opened so made a special trip.

Getting There
Roots & Rolls, Carrer del Consell de Cent, 401, 08009 BarcelonaThe place was really easy to find. We just jumped on the metro and got off at Girona, turned right, and we had arrived. From the outside the restaurant looks quite small but it goes really far back.

The Menu
The menu has loads of choices, which meant that even my non-veggie friends were happy. There is something for everyone from small bites like edamame, to bowls of ramen, to a very long list of sushi options. Prices range from around €4-€12.

The Space
The space is gorgeous and feels so open & bright. As a group of 6, we found the space ideal and even got seated in a cosy caged off corner full of cushions.

All Together
I really, really recommend visiting this place if you find yourself in Barcelona; whether you’re vegan or not. The food is delicious, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, the space is gorgeous and you just won’t regret it!
